I work with Young Learners (YLs), teenagers, and adults across multiple learning contexts. The majority of the courses I teach are Cambridge/IELTS Exam Preparation and Business English. There has also been an increasing number of CLIL and 'top-up' conversation courses with local schools in Milan, Italy.
In my lessons, I lay great emphasis on facilitating my students' communicative competence through personalised, meaningful language communication.
Grammar is only a means to an end.
As somebody who grew up in the English-speaking world before venturing outside it at the age of 24, I believe that language exists everywhere around us. I am also aware of empirical research on language acquisition. This has led me to adopt flexible views on how languages are learnt, which in turn is reflected in my eclectic approach to teaching.
