I work as an English language teacher and examiner in Italy. I have taught with International House (IH) Milan since 2019 and New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) Milan since 2024. I have recently joined the British Council as a teacher. With over six years' experience, I have helped hundreds of language learners at every CEFR level (A1 to C2) to achieve their goals, including Cambridge C2 Proficiency, IELTS, undergraduate dissertations (EAP, and job interviews (ESP).
In addition to teaching, I run teacher development workshops and speak at conferences for Macmillan Education Italy. I also provide training in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) to local school teachers. I have spoken individually at local and international events, including the IATEFL Conference in the UK and British Council TeachingEnglish webinars. As a writer, I contribute articles regularly to the International House Journal.
British by birth in the former overseas territory of Hong Kong, I trained as a classical musician in the United Kingdom in my previous career. I have played professionally in various orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic (UK) and Orchestra Leonore (Italy). I have also presented education outreach workshops for a number of British performing arts organisation.
